Case Studies: Nutanix. NEXT Conference 2019

Nutanix, a leading software company, threw their biggest party of the year at the City National Grove in Anaheim, CA. The event was held during their 2019 .NEXT Conference where 60+ conferences were held for their employees and partners. We were tasked with providing 8 cars as part of the entrance display to their ‘70s themed “Boogie Fever” party.

Here’s how we did it!

Nutanix .NEXT 2019 Conference

The brief:

Their biggest event of the year and the 10-year celebration of the company’s founding, this year’s event had to be off the charts! The plan for the evening was to throw a party for the event’s attendants that was estimated around 7,000 guests. The theme was everything great about the ‘70s including live music playing the best hits from the era, a roller rink, and plenty of decorations to make every guest look the part.

The task:

Vinty was tasked with sourcing and coordinating 8 classic cars that would be used for the entrance display at the open-air event. The cars would need to be from the ‘70s and would need to arrive at the same time so that they could be arranged and placed in their final position before the event started.

The results:

Guests were greeted to a colorful array of classic ‘70s cars that instantly transported them back to the days of disco, The Beegies, bell bottoms, and good times! A photo booth was set up near by the entrance and used the orange 1972 Chevrolet El Camino SS as the backdrop, where hundreds of photo ops took place.

The event provided dancers dressed in retro attire that welcomed guests and even encouraged them to take pictures with them and the cars – how fun! Safe to say, the event was a hit and the cars were the stars of the show. Far out!
