This Spring, we were tasked with providing 5 unique classic cars for a video shoot in Brooklyn Heights, NY. The clients were large companies in the footwear and fashion industries who have recently collaborated together on a new product.

Here’s how we did it!

The brief:

The new product being launched will need unique classic cars to complement the product’s stand-out presence. 5 cars will be needed for seperate shots, each car with a unique color to contrast the various wardrobe changes and combinations worn by the talent.

Cars will need to arrive cleaned and shined for their best presentation. There will be various shots with some including mock car wash scenes, talent driving the cars, entering/exiting the vehicles, and a dog!

The task:

John’s ‘88 Alfa Romeo was in showroom condition and fit the producition’s specifications perfectly.

Vinty was tasked with providing 5 cars: A 1973 Datsun 240Z, 1960 Sunbeam Alpine, 1988 Alfa Romeo Spider, 1973 Mercedes 280, and a 1976 Porsche 911 Targa.

The cars would need to arrive on a staggered schedule to be used efficiently for the shots needed. This was done in conjunction with the production team and made for an efficient use of the production day.

Thanks to our drivers arriving on time with clean cars ready to be on-camera, the video shoot rolled smoothly based on the staggered schedule that was laid out. As a result, the production crew was able to wrap their shoot close to an hour early as they were able to run through their planned shots quite efficiently.

We do not take complete credit for this as the production team was well sorted and very experienced. However, we are proud of our drivers and their professionalism that reflected well on the producers on-site which allowed the video shoot to run as smoothly as it did.

Thank you Matt, John, Pardeep, and Patch for your awesome work on this project!
