This 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 has an LSX engine and 6 speed transmission swap. It's cranberry red with a custom red clearcoat with white stripes with a cranberry red interior. The car features include seat belts, digital Am/Fm radio, "Vintage Air" air conditioning, Dakota digital gauges. Under the hood it has a 5.3-liter LSX engine that has been professionally built by Troy Shields Motor Sports, FiTech Ultimate LS Engine Management, FiTech intake and throttle body, cam, rockers, heads, headers, and a custom dual exhaust. The suspension has been updated with improved spring rates, stabilizer bars, and bushings. U.S. Mags custom aluminum wheels with radial tires.
The Chevelle was a frame off, rotisserie style restoration. It was purpose built to participate in the Hot Rod Power Tour 2018. This build was done with reliability, drivability, and comfort in mind. It has a comfortable bench seat, modern air conditioning, and a modern engine and transmission. It is easy to drive around town and cruises great on the interstate.
After the Power Tour 2018, this car went on to participate in the Hot Rod Power Tour 2019, which was also the 25th anniversary of the Power Tour.
